National Cancer Institute CancerNet - This is the most useful gateway into the NCI for information about cancer. From here you can access their PDQ system (Physician Data Query base) for up-to-date information about specific cancers written for both physicians and the lay reader.
PDQ Disease Specific Information - This is a shortcut to the National Cancer Institute's PDQ system. It provides information about specific cancers and is written for the general public.
OncoLink at the University of Pennsylvania - OncoLink, created in 1994, was one of the first Internet-based resources to provide comprehensive information about cancer. It includes links to many other sites on the internet that are dedicated to cancer. It takes some time to search through their many choices, but you may find some good information.
American Cancer Society Information - Fact sheets prepared by the ACS provide a starting point for dealing with many of the issues that arise after a cancer diagnosis.
